SoulCycle, Pure Barre, BodyPump; there are so many fitness trends right now, and more emerging by the minute. While these trendy workouts aren’t bad in and of themselves, the biggest mistake I see fitness fanatics making is sticking to these trends and evolving into die-hard fans who refuse to doing anything else BUT that workout. Doing the same workout day in and day out, week in and week out, can not only put you in a fitness rut, but it can also lead to injury, from overuse of the same muscles. Take cycle classes for example; a great, sweaty workout, but cycling 5 days out of the week has your legs only moving in 1 direction, using the same muscle group, putting strain on your knees and joins, creating tight quads and a weak core.
