Born and raised right here in San Antonio, Texas!
How did you get started in health and fitness?
In high school and college I was a cross country runner - strength & stretch took a back seat - I LOVED to run. However my lack of cross training and flexibility negligence led to bones breaking and tendons tearing. Without the ability to run I spiraled and struggled not only with depression but adapting to a "new healthy" lifestyle where I wasn't running 6-10 miles almost everyday and recklessly carb loading. Struggling with weight gain and frustrated from the new physical considerations I stumbled into a yoga class. Instantly I fell in love! I felt open. strong , mobile and for the first time in my life.. Mindful. Yoga helped my feel empowered and compassionate with my physical practice and the body I have RIGHT NOW. Working to my health, movement, and lifestyle goals with self-love and true presence.
What is your favorite class to teach?
Power Yoga/ Strong Flow - it's a dynamic combination of flexibility, strength and fun.
What do you want every person to get out of your class?
Always empowering prepare to enter a well- rounded class of mindful movement and intentional breath; challenge yourself to greater compassion and connection with your own body, mind, and soul. Break down patterns and evoke a spiritual striving for balance. I want my students to explore their own personal and creatively healing movement - YOUR movement. YOUR practice.
