I want clients to feel free to meet their body wherever they are along their fitness journey, to feel welcomed, and then to feel challenged to improve at a pace that honors their body. Joe has been coming to my class for about four months now, after suffering a shoulder injury. Joe comes to class regularly and he’s made so much progress, not just on his shoulder, but also on overall strength and flexibility (and in his attitude to traffic delays 😉).
Shortly after earning my black belt in Tae Kwon Do, I herniated a disc which required surgical repair. I turned to Yoga as a gentle form of movement, but I found so much more. I learned to move my body safely, developed strength and flexibility that let me move freely, and quieted my anxious mind. Now in my sixties, I’m moving and exercising with ladies forty years younger than me.
