Where were you born and raised?
I originally hail from San Antonio Texas.
How did you get started in health and fitness?
I went to Texas State University in 2006 where I majored in Psychology. I was intrigued by the human mind and what caused it to be come unhappy and the ways in which we can cure our mental and physical ailments. When I took my first yoga class in 2008 I learned there is an applicable way to manage stress and change the way you feel. I was hooked and quickly became a teacher at Black Swan Yoga Austin in 2010.
What is your favorite class to teach?
My favorite class is a slow powerful meditative Vinyasa class, ended with a deep savasana.
What do you want every person to get out of your class?
It is my goal that every person in my class walks away feeling more comfortable in their own skin and that they gain more body awareness than before.
