The internet is full and I mean FULL of information and so called “expert opinion” on fitness and exercise. With so much out there, how do you know what to believe? I personally follow what has been tested and proven in expert scientific studies, while also following what has worked personally for me and my clients… why would you believe anything else?
When you have picky children and still want to eat healthy family meals, you get creative with how to present the veggies. One of the easiest ways is to puree and blend into sides, soups, sauces, smoothies and other dishes. Here are some of my favorites:
cauliflower mashed potatoes
butternut squash mac and cheese
sweet potato chili
avocado egg salad
eggplant spaghetti
carrot and bell pepper sloppy joes.
It’s always fun to splurge every now and then...just diving in to dessert or a juicy burger every now and then….And there’s nothing wrong with that! You should always take time to treat yourself on occasion, in fact it is a healthy habit (rather than depriving yourself 365...this leads to bad habits and poor decisions). But with these splurge days, there are some things that you should never splurge on.
