Where were you born and raised?

Julia is originally from Wyoming and has also lived in California (Bay area), Iowa, and Utah.

How did you get started in health and fitness?

Always being active, in 2013 she challenged herself to earn her certification as a Group Exercise Instructor through Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and in 2015 she successfully completed her 200 hours of yoga teaching, earning her Yoga Alliance Recognized RYT 200 Certification. In her spare time, she also doing bodybuilding competitions.

What is your favorite class to teach?

Julia has also taught many format such as Body Combat, HIIT classes, and group strength and conditioning classes, but Yoga is her favorite format to teach, she loves watching all different bodies practice yoga and leading them into new ways to do postures and seeing the change on their face when they let go of all their stresses and just become one with their breath. Her yoga classes although Iyengar based also have a lot of wiggle room to play and experiment to find what postures her students need in that moment to fit them best.

What do you want every person to get out of your class?

When people leave her class feeling better, lighter, more confident than when they came, she feels that was a successful class and if she can get a few Om's from a class, that just makes her day!
